Saturday 16th August: The Poetry Glam Slam!
A poetry slam with a difference. 18 poets compete for the title (and the right to wear the crown and satin sash) declaring them Liverpool's Most Glamorous Poet.
Camp it up and vamp it up! Glitter, sparkle, shine! It's the Summer's sequinned sequel to the Liverpool Poetry Slam. Fluff up your feather boas, dust off your
diamante, and polish your Prada. There will be prizes for the most glamorous audience members, and poets will be marked on Glam Factor as well as poetic
performance and content. Poets wishing to compete must contact sarah@deadgoodpoetssociety.co.uk in advance.
NB. Glam may be defined in the loosest and louche-est sense Poetry AND dressing up - what's not to like??? Compered by the extremely glamorous Chloe Poems.

Wednesday 17th September - A Lorra, Lorra Laureates!
Why hasnÕt Liverpool got a Poet Laureate? This guest night, with performances from Poet Laureates from Cheshire, The Wirral and Cumbria, kick-starts a campaign for an annual Liverpool Poet Laureate. Join in the debate! Nominate a poet whom you want to represent our City! Nomination forms available on the night.

Wednesday 15th October - Paul Durcan supported by Rebecca Goss
Paul Durcan is a winner of the Patrick Kavanagh Award, The Whitbread Prize and more. His books have been chosen as Poetry Society Choices. An astonishingly talented Irish poet, his intimate style of reading will make you feel like the only person in the room. A not-to-be-missed event.
Rebecca joins us fresh from her triumph at the Liverpool Poetry Cafe. Second in this year's New Writing competition, a runner up in the Bridport Poetry Competition, Rebecca is one of Liverpool's poetic gems.

Wednesday 19th November: Shane Solanki with Adam Khan
Shane, founder member of The D'Archetypes, poet, producer, performer, prankster. Indian root, British fruit. Often seen on city horizons, wearing a veil and sprinkling rose petals, Shane is a gifted poet, rapper, musician and more - a fun, frolic-filled evening.
Adam, a DGPS favourite (seriously, he has his own fan club of dedicated admirers), Wirral's Shakespearian bard with a modern (some would say Jedi-like) twist.
